Lassiter Mountain Dragway

Cars await the start of a race at the Lassiter Mountain Dragway outside Fultondale, Jefferson County in this ca. 1960 photo. The racetrack is an 1/8-mile strip that was founded in 1958 by the Black Widows Car Club.
