Old Rock School in Springville

The Springville Rock School in Springville, St. Clair County, was constructed in the early 1920s and faced in a local folk style known as chert-rock. It provided classroom space for the high school and then was abandoned for many years. In 2018, Springville Elementary School students restored one of the classrooms with a grant from the Alabama 200 Bicentennial Foundation.
