Drive-by Truckers

Patterson Hood (right) and Mike Cooley of the Drive-by Truckers perform in May 2008 in Washington, D.C. The Muscle Shoals natives met and began playing music together while attending the University of North Alabama in Florence, Lauderdale County. Hood is the son of David Hood, an influential bass player who was a member of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.
