The Autobiography of a Magdalen Title Page

The title page of The Autobiography of a Magdalen by Louise Wooster, who operated a house of prostitution in Birmingham during the late nineteenth century. The autobiography, co-written with a local minister, was a largely fictional work aimed at promoting more progressive views towards "fallen" women. It romanticizes her life and contains nothing about the brutality and hardships of life for prostitutes.
