Nixon Building, Tuxedo Junction

Tuxedo Junction in Birmingham, Jefferson County, was a nightlife center for African Americans from the 1920s to the 1950s. Musician Erskine Hawkins played at the junction as a child and named his 1939 hit "Tuxedo Junction."
