Jimmy Buffett's hit song "Margaritaville," from the 1978 album Changes in Latitude, spurred a profitable period of touring entering the 1980s. In the late 1980s, he opened several restaurants and invested in a minor-league baseball team in Florida with actor Bill Murray.
