Eva is located in southeastern Morgan County in the north-central part of the state. It has a mayor/city council form of government.
History

Demographics
According to 2020 Census estimates, Eva recorded a population of 538. Of that number, 97.8 percent of respondents identified themselves as white, 1.3 percent as Asian, and 0.9 percent as two or more races. The town's median household income was $76,875, and the per capita income was $52,570.

According to 2020 Census estimates, the work force in Eva was divided among the following industrial categories:

- Manufacturing (22.7 percent)
- Educational services, and health care and social assistance (17.8 percent)
- Arts, entertainment, recreation, and accommodation and food services (8.5 percent)
- Professional, scientific, management, and administrative and waste management services (6.1 percent)
- Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting, and extractive (4.0 percent)
- Wholesale trade (2.4 percent)
- Construction (2.0 percent)
- Other services, except public administration (2.0 percent)
- Public administration (1.2 percent)
- Finance, insurance, and real estate, rental, and leasing (0.8 percent)
- Information (0.4 percent)
Education
Schools in Eva are part of the Morgan County school system; the town has one K-8 school.
Transportation
Interstate Highway 65, running north-south, is located approximately ten miles west of Eva.
Events and Places of Interest
Eva holds an annual Frontier Days festival on the last Saturday in September. The celebration includes a parade that features marching bands, antique cars and tractors, and horses. Arts and crafts vendors and food vendors also are part of the festival.
